We spent our first night in our house on 7/22/11.   The house isn't any where near being finished on the inside, no power, bathroom, or running water yet but we just couldn't wait.  We placed an air mattress up in the loft and made up a bed.  Silly me, I thought we'd be fine with just a nice flannel sheet on the bed and we left the windows all wide open.  By about 1 a.m. I was freezing...the temps had dropped down into the low 40's.  Mike was my hero and ran to the house to get more blankets and while he was gone I realized for the first time that while I layed in bed all I had to do is turn my head just a little to look out the window and framed perfectly in our window was the Big Dipper.  It was one of those moments I'll never forget.  I just wanted to star gaze for the rest of the night.  We are very lucky to have such beauty right outside our windows.  I won't ever take that for granted.
Our first night in the Tiny House was almost exactly one year to the day of the day we poured the concrete pillars to place our house on.
The bed all made up and ready for our first night.  Needless to say, later that night there were more blankets on that ol' bed! Brrrr!

This is a picture of the moon that night out of our sky light.  It was about 3/4 moon but gave off lots of light that night.

Fine info dude
