Well here's what we started with. This is a little patch of next to our tiny house that's been nagging at me for awhile now. It was a little garden at one time but it's been neglected for a few years and has been overgrown with field grass.
I had to cut back the thick grass before I could even start turning the soil. The grass had been so thick in there that I had to turn the soil then pull clumps of grass roots out and shake of the soil. Good thing this was a small area because it was really tough work.
My handy husband watched me start this garden project then decided to dress it up a bit with some timbers that we had laying around.
Can't work on a project like this without some of this :-)
Here's what our project looked like when we were done. Now it's ready for planting.
Good-bye for now Papa Neil. We will miss you so much...until we see you again in heaven. You gave so much to this world and taught your children very well. Thank you for being the best father-in-law a woman could ever hope for.
Rest in peace and have a wonderful adventure up there in heaven! We love you!!!
A new little Swenson has arrived, our Great Nephew, Silus Aaron Swenson born to Mercedes Swenson. He's perfect and completely adorable!!
