My long and much anticipated task on our project list has been the window shutters.  I've been so excited about these because I've imagined them in my head for some time now and I just knew they'd look wonderful on our Tiny House. I just can't help but feel that each step like this just ads more and more of our signature on the house...never to see another Tiny House exactly like ours.

Boards cut and ready for assembly and paint.
We used cedar fence boards and were able to make each shutter for less than $5.00 each!  Nice savings compared to purchasing these ready or custom made.

Fresh paint applied. Now for some drying time and then up on the house they'll go!  I had the paint matched to the color of our metal roofing.  Should be a nice match.

Shutters are up!  They turned out just the way I had hoped they would.  Yeah!

New coat of stain to the deck and the bench, tires removed off the trailer and shutters all hung.  What a difference this has made to the look of our house.  LOVE IT!

That's it for this weekend for tomorrow we're off to raft the Salmon River near Riggins, Idaho.  Will I sleep tonight?  Absolutely not!  Oiy!!
